To God Be The Glory

Good morning to you, who yet lives and breathes this day! I hope you are doing very well at this stage.

We wake up every day and look to press forward with the things that we have planned. It’s in the nature of every person to develop themselves somehow, whether to the good or to the bad. We have spoken vehemently about finding our Purpose in God and the steps thereof.

As we go on this pursuit, we must NEVER forget this critical element called Praise! You see, this entire journey of Purpose Pursuit is in the Hands of God, so is our very lives in fact and it’s important to remember to praise Him.
1 Peter 4:11, If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
Hebrews 13:15,By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
I have been reminded of the power of praise. Candi Staton sings a song called, ‘Hallelujah Anyway’.
‘You have some problems, you need God to solve them, and you get down on your knees and pray…’ you know that song right? If you don’t, please check it out… its chorus says, ‘Praise Him ‘till your blessings come down, praise Him ‘till your situation turns around, you’ve got to lift up your voice and sing, Hallelujah anyway, Hallelujah any weh eh ehi’ lol, not sure how to write what they do at the end there.
I want to say that on this road with Jehovah and as we grow and mature in Him, that things aren’t easy and aren’t going to be easy. Walking in His purpose for our lives means walking in victory and crippling the kingdom of the evil one. It stands to reason that he ain’t gonna just let us do that without putting up a fight.
Judah is one of the tribes of Israel and they majored in praise. They would at times go ahead of them all and with trumpets, they would lead the charge.
Praise is powerful and so is telling others what God has done for us!
1 Chronicles 16:8 says, Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.’

So in the next few posts, let’s spend some time praising and making known His deeds.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 12.2

Hola! Heitha! Good morning and how are you?!

I wish I could hear your answer, but can only hope that you are doing better than yesterday, if not financially then let it be in Wisdom. We should always strive to learn from each day and be more knowledgeable for the next.

Ok, it has been quite a journey going through The Purpose Formula and I hope that it has been very beneficial in terms of giving insights into how we find our Purpose, particularly in God.

Let's do a quick recap and bring it to a close shall we?

  • First we learnt that our most nagging Frustrations that have to do with the world we live in are some of the best indicators of what our God-Given Purpose is. It is imperative to take stock of what truly bothers us that we want to do something about. We then can't just have them there to linger but these Frustrations must grow inside of us until they draw us into step number 2, establishing a Desire to change the matter.

  • In step two, we have Desire. Here is where we then register our intentions to sort these things out. It is where we work within ourselves that we indeed intend to do what is necessary to make our mark. This step of course, comes with it's own damaging challenges which normally tell us that what we Desire to do isn't going to actually change anything, make any difference or do anything for us personally. These obstacles can really dent this step and deny it's growth. Our greatest encouragement here should be that The God of heaven and earth is NOT subject to the elements of this world and that when we partner with Him, WE CAN!

  • When Desire has grown enough to now push us to find ways to fulfill it, we start Seeking them. We met Themba and Patience who found themselves in search for something and someone respectively, that was lost. In both stories we learnt that the value that you place on what/who you are looking for will propel us to either spend a little time and then give up, or to stop at nothing to find it/him/her. We need to place the highest value on this Purpose of ours and Seek out every way to manifest the solution/s. If the way isn't there, then let's create a way. God is an Inventor and He made us with the same characteristic.

  • Lastly, once we find ourselves where we are not going to be held back by obstacles and challenges, then we become Zealous in our endeavors. In the Zeal Dimension, we are consumed by this Purpose and are driven to make things happen! Yet we learnt in the Book of Isaiah that it is the Zeal of The Lord that accomplishes great things and that if we now allow Him to Lord over our plans and ways, then we will certainly conquer for His Glory!

Welcome to your Purpose!

That about wraps up this beautiful, life-changing series and if you want more on it, please go ahead and leave me a comment right here or contact me on the details in TPOP 11.4. Also, if there is a topic that you would like me to discuss, let me know and we will see what we can do.

Here it is...
In the Kingdom of God, there are ways and means to succeed and be completely fulfilled. Living in His Purpose for our lives and learning to listen to and follow His Voice will cause us to do thing far greater than we could have otherwise. He is Lord and will always be, no matter how much this world tries to say the opposite. Let's walk in Victory, in our Purpose and in Power on planet earth! In Jesus' Mighty Name!

The Pursuit Of Purpose 12.1

The Pursuit of Purpose 12.1
Good Day, Good day, Good day! Oh yeah it is a good day in Jesus’ Name!

Hoping that you’re getting things done on your side as well, let’s keep going.

In the last post we spoke about the understanding that in the Zeal step or dimension, it is The Lord’s Zeal that shall accomplish great things. IF we immerse ourselves in His Hands and choose to be led of Him, then even the gates of hades cannot stand against us fulfilling our Purpose.

The Almighty is the One Who created this world that we live in and although He gave us authority over it to rule and to reign like He does in heaven…He is still Sovereign and even His foolishness, is far higher than our own wisdom. It is therefore imperative to remember that He is the One Who knows the plans that He has for us, to prosper us and not to harm us.

He made us, He knows us, He isn’t shocked by what we experience, so it’s easy to see why it would benefit us immensely to trust that His Way is simply the best way.

News Flash! God knows that we have plans in life! I’ve spoken to many people who think that submitting to the Will of Jehovah means not having plans at all in life. Errr, no! Check Proverbs 19:21 out;

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.’

As we can all see, He is well aware that we plan things and aim to achieve them etc. So how is it that we submit to His Way? I will tell you.

Walking with God is a beautiful journey and He made us with a will of our own, which He also acknowledges. He does tell us in Isaiah 48:17, ‘Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.’
He teaches us that like David the king, we should go to Him and ask for direction on where to go and what to do. We do this in prayer and supplication, and then of course listening to Him answer. We have spent quite a while on past posts discussing how to hear from God…yes? Right…so that we should do.
At the same time, it is natural to us to plan things, our next meal, a trip overseas, to start a business, to have a child, to purchase a car, to apply for a new job and all that. In many cases, we jump at such opportunities and talk to God afterwards, right? I know, so does God. What Proverbs is then talking about is that whatever we are planning, when we walk with God, it is God’s Sovereign Will that will prevail. So we best brace ourselves for certain plans of our own, to fail if they are contrary to where He is taking us. Eish neh?
Here it is…

In Zeal, we must understand that God made us and gave us authority on earth as He has in heaven, yet He is still Almighty and He knows the way to navigate this world MUCH better than we do. Period! It is His Word that asks us to go before Him if we want to do something to propel us forward, but also knows that we have many plans. If we are in Him, it is His Will that will prevail and we must accept that with joy, for our own sake.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 12

Avuxeni! Molweni! Dumelang! Greetings from Pretoria!

I’ve had a lovely day, plans upon plans to move forward as I aim to get things done every single day. No messing around I tell ya!
I hope you are well and progressing as well in 2015.
Let’s do this! We are now in the last step of The Purpose Formula called, Zeal. By definition this word commands some respect:
·         great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective.’

Someone who is Zealous is one who is highly passionate about something or someone and as far as I’m concerned, consumed by it. Zeal speaks of a serious commitment to a cause and the success thereof. Herein lies the driving force of fulfilling our Purpose in Him.

 Let’s look at the Word;
  • Isaiah 9:6-7 says, “6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
  • 7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

King David observes this Revelation as he admonishes God in front a large congregation in 1 Chronicles 29:10,

  • 10Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. 11Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 12Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.”

There is something that we learn about life when we walk the face of the earth…God Is Sovereign. That’s it. I heard someone say that God is a myth, while another says that God is just another option out there or even a last resort after you’ve tried everything. Yet another young man told me that God doesn’t exist.
Heh heh, this world is full of opinions and views and perspectives I tell you…and make no mistake, all the options that are available to us have caused unmistakable confusion. What do we do? Stay Tuned to these posts, we get into that soon.

For the purpose of The Formula at hand…the first thing that we see is that in this world, if we are to have True Success, we need to understand that it is the Zeal of The Lord that will accomplish it! Our zeal is limited to our own strength, but if it is the Zeal of The Lord that we are consumed by, then it is dependent on Him to get it done. Yes? Oh Yes!

Here it is…
It is The Zeal of The Lord that accomplishes feats both great and small in our own eyes, yet all have their place in the advancement of The Kingdom of God. The first thing we need to understand about this dimension is…Allow the success of our quest to depend on Him than ourselves.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 11.4

Goooooooooooood Day! Oh yeah! This is the day that He has made, it’s REJOICE TIME!

I hope you’re good on your side. By the way, I need to seriously apologize to my Tsonga readers. In my lack of wisdom, I didn’t actually check how we spell one of the greetings in this lovely language. I’m told that it’s actually Avuxeni rather than my assumed apsheni. My deepest apologies and I will be a lot more careful in future.

Right, let’s get to the examples as directed in the last post. Remember that we have learnt now that in the Seeking dimension or the Seeking part of the Purpose Formula, we need to place the highest value on the Desires that were birthed from our Frustrations so that we refuse to lose them.

Now, many people simply don’t know where to go to do certain things that they Desire to do. You may have a business idea that isn’t as prevalent in your area as others, or have an idea regarding manufacturing something that you don’t see all that much where you are or where you want to go.
You may even want to start a crèche or build a bottle making factory, or do a new kind of garden service, maybe even be a catalyst in your community for information about development therein. Some of you may want to start a netball, hockey, swimming, athletics, soccer, bowling club etc. Perhaps yours is to write a book, or record a music album or be a video and sound production company. Whatever your idea is, it’s important and deserves to be written down, recorded somewhere or typed up.

Then Seeking a way to manifest this idea is next. Since we now see it with high value, we need to make sure it is brought to life.
The internet is one place to go for information about doing what we want to do, but in my experience it has fallen short on many occasions when it comes to things available to us more locally. That’s just me. So I have resorted to do some running around to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) etc. The aim was to see what is available to us and what steps can be taken to do something.
These organisations above, including The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) are good places to go for research. There are ofcourse many other ways of getting started, from using the little money you have to sell sweets, vegetables, ice-cream from a bicycle and grow your business from there; or even to find someone who is well off financially and partner with them to get going…it’s all about doing something!

I may not have all the information that everybody needs to get started but I want to help you if you would like me to, in getting you on the move. You can contact me by sending me a facebook message on www.facebook.com/PreestG, www.facebook.com/TheMessenger37, leaving me a comment here on this blog, or by sending me an email mothobi.gabriel@yahoo.com. I’m here to help you fulfil your purpose where I can.

Here it is…
Once you have placed enough value on what is inside of you, no matter how big or small, then put it down somewhere, and do research. Network with me and if I don’t have an answer for you, we will find it together and develop ourselves for the Glory of God Almighty!

The Pursuit Of Purpose 11.3

Hola daarso! A very good day to you sir or madam!

I pray that you are having a good day so far. On my side, it’s hot one part of the day and raining the next. It reminds me of Cape Town…ha!

Now, on the past two posts we had observed the two stories pertaining to Themba and Patience. We saw two levels of intensity to finding something/someone that was lost.

Since we are inevitably going to try a compare a thing to a person, let me bring to light the illustration that The Great JC (Jesus Christ) gave in Luke 15.

He was explaining what we have been talking about here. Between verse 4  and 7 we read,
  • What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."
  • Then he speaks of the same value placed upon a thing as well by the woman in verses 8 and 9, 8Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? 9And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost."
We see here that whether it’s a person or thing, the value we attach to him/her or it is what will propel us to hang on to them or not. Therefore I submit that our friend Themba did not place as much value on the key ring as Patience did on her son.
When it comes to fulfilling our Desire, we NEED to place the highest value on it and use this to make us unstoppable in getting it done. Once we have settled within ourselves that we aren’t going to allow ANYTHING or ANYONE to stand in our way, then we can move on to the next part.
Here it is...
It’s a decision and not a feeling to allow NOTHING and/or NO ONE to halt us from fulfilling our Desire in sorting out our Frustrations as we continue our journey to finding our God given purpose. The time has come to raise warriors for The Kingdom who will keep head-strong about DOING the Will of God.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 11.2

Hallo Hallo Hallo! I hope you are doing well wherever you find yourself at this point.
I bless The Almighty Who still remains on The Throne.
Now, we have a story to look at. On the last post we heard or rather read the story of Themba and his birthday gift.

Today, let’s observe another. Her name is Patience and she was invited to Gold Reef City in early December last year. Her husband was away in Paris, attending to a construction project he had been awarded.

She decided to take both Matshidiso (8) and Thabiso (6) with her and joined up with her friends who were also bringing their young children.
It was packed to capacity, with people from all over coming to enjoy the variety of rides on offer. Sure enough the group of eight buddies met together and allowed their children to go on different rides.
While her children were playing, she went to purchase some ice-cream for them as they had been pleading with her since they arrived.
The queue was quite long, but she was patient…lol. She came back and looked through the group of children that all belonged to herself and her friends. The kids were having great fun running around but, Thabiso was nowhere to be seen. She looked frantically for him with her eyes and moved around a little, with no success!
The ice cream quickly became a forgotten thing and she started to walk and then run around. She approaches Matshidiso and asks her with bated breath, “Ngwana o kae?!” (Where is the child?). The young girl’s facial expression changes from joy to shock as she also turns around and replies, “Mama, he was right here.”
Matshidiso goes looking for him and rallies her friends to do the same, screaming, “Thabiso!!! Thabiso!!!”
Patience goes to her friends and tells them about the missing boy and without hesitation, the search party is increased. After about 30 minutes without any luck, she runs to the security guards and asks them for help as well. She gives everyone she can a description of the child, not bothered one bit that she was asking absolute strangers for help.
Some three hours later with almost everyone at the place looking for Thabiso, an old lady comes holding him in her arms to one of the guards. She tells him that she found the young boy stuck having hurt his leg and because of the noise, his cries for help weren’t heard. He ended up falling asleep on the grass.
It was announced that the boy was found and there was great celebration. Patience immediately took her children so that they can get him medical attention. [To Be Continued…]
Here it is…
The altitude of the value we place on something or someone will determine the magnitude that we give it or them our expensive attention. It is this attitude that we must have when we are in the Seeking Dimension in order to fulfil the Desire to Deal with our Frustrations.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 11.1

Bawo ni! Dumelang! Apsheni!
I hope you are doing well in the Hands of The Almighty God!

I must tell you that learning a statement from Dr. John C. Maxwell which says, ‘Success is not a destination, it’s a journey.’ All I want to say to you here is that waking up every day and going to sleep having achieved something, should be the goal. No need to do everything at once, but do something daily en-route to the main objective.

Right, let’s do this.

Shall we take a deeper look into the dimension of Seeking. Let’s consider the story of Themba.

He received a birthday present from his girlfriend of six months, Teboho, a tailor made key ring. He went to Checkers Hyper in Menlyn Mall, East of Pretoria on a busy 25th of May last year.
Since he hung it around his waist and pushed against many a customer, by the time he reached the till, he realized that the gift wasn’t there anymore.
Once he paid for his goods, he went and parked his trolley inside a smaller shop that sells cellphones and does cellphone repairs, asking the gentleman to watch it for him. He went and retraced his steps as much as he could remember, looking for the key ring. Unable to see it anywhere, he proceeded to look elsewhere all over the shop for about 20 minutes.
Unsuccessful, he prepared himself for the worst at the verbal hands of his woman and left the store.
A Picture has been placed in front of us here. We see that Themba knew that it was a valuable thing that he had in his possession and when he saw it missing, he took time to go and look for it all through the retail outlet.

He placed a certain value on the item and showed this by trying to get it back into his hands.

Is this how we should look at dealing with our Frustrations via Desire Avenue? [To Be Continued…]

Here it is…
The value that we place on what has been entrusted to us shows in our reaction to losing it or realizing it not being there or active any longer. The greater the value placed on it, the greater the need to retrieve it.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 11

Sanibonani! Greetings all over the world!

It’s a breezy afternoon on a hot day here in Pretoria. I hope you are doing well as the weekend progresses.

This series has been something else and I’m so thankful that Jehovah has released such incredible insights to us in this generation. It has been life-changing for me and for many of you as we continue.

The last post brought a conclusion to the Desire step in The Purpose Formula with an understanding of how to defeat the enemies that aim to destroy it and keep us from fulfilling these Desires.

Now we get to the next step called, ‘Seeking’. We graduate to this one by having an unstoppable Desire to curb our Frustrations as discussed in previous posts. Our Frustration grows and breeds Desire; Desire grows and overcomes its own challenges to breed ‘Seeking’.
Let’s begin with the definition of the word:
  • “To attempt or desire to obtain or achieve (something)”
The reason it stands third in The Purpose Formula is because it comes from a solid Frustration and Desire foundation. So that it’s not just an act of looking for something but rather, a real conviction to succeed that comes from the inside out.

When your Frustration has reached a growth point into Desire, and Desire has now brought us to a place where we NEED to find a way to sort this out, then we don’t just let up when we don’t see a way out around us.
It’s a far deeper feeling attached to a decision. If we can’t find a way, we make a way! Jehovah is an Inventor by nature and He made us the same. Seeking is a drive that pushes us and makes us quite relentless in finding a solution or creating one.

Here it is…
In the step of Seeking, we need to know that it is based on Frustrations that are solid and Desires that will not stop until they are quenched. It is one where if a way isn’t there, we don’t just let go and give in, but create a way as our God did and still does.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 10.3

Melodious Salutations to you!

I went to the studio yesterday to go and record a single for this new year.
It was quite an experience and I hope you will enjoy when you hear it. It should be out pretty soon according to my producer. Don’t Miss It!

Alright, let’s do this.

On the last post, we spoke about some challenges that come up when we get into the 'Desire' step of The Purpose Formula. From people not believing in you and your vision, to those who don’t stick with you as you aim to fulfil this Desire. The obstacles are many and the worst of which is dashed hope or discouragement. According to the book of Gabriel, this is the most damaging.

Proverbs 13:2 puts it like this, “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.” The American Standard Version is like this, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

Hope is one of the most powerful life lines to hold on to when in the Desire Dimension and the key is what feeds that hope. You see, every challenge that we face in this step has one purpose – To discourage us from continuing our pursuit.
So how do we win this battle? What we listen to, What we meditate on and What we say. Oh yes, it’s that simple.

Check this out:
- Romans 10:17, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
- Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”
- Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
- Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
It is the combination of the first three that substantiate my battle statement in winning the battle and the last Scripture is where 'Desire' draws its greatest strength!

Here it is…
We need to choose not to associate with people that speak discouragement regarding what we want to do; choose to stay away from things in the media that cast doubt on our goals; choose to listen to God, reading His Word and Speaking it out! We must find those who are of the same spirit and will encourage us as we encourage them. Since we have written the vision down according to the series we’ve been busy with, we must read it aloud to ourselves and declare that it shall be done in Jesus’ Name! This is how we defeat the enemies of Desire.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 10.2

Moloweni! Dumelang! Goeie More! Bonjour! Hello to you all!

I’m having a great start to my day here with worship from Ntokozo Mbatha’s album, Filled. That song, ‘Magnify’ is just great. I hope your day is also showing great promise for success.

Alright, let’s keep moving.

On the last post, we talked about a few things that can stand in the way of our Desires being fulfilled to remedy our Frustrations.

When you have a vision, a Revelation about dealing with something, and nobody seems to get you, understand it, or even want to, you tend to choose the easier route of ‘Giving Up’. We all do! I remember the first time I tried to go into business, some 7 or 8 years ago, and the innumerable obstacles that simply hindered me.

I had started my logistics business and looked to grow it into an unemployment destroyer in our country, but I came across people who seemed great to help me out at first. I ended paying for contracts that I thought were direct contracts with mines and other logistical clients, yet turned out to be bogus. I lost a lot of money in those days and literally just threw in the towel.

In ministry as well, I ministered with all my heart to those that got into my cab as I drove them from Wonderpark Mall to the residences within Akasia in the North of Pretoria, and I looked to spread The Message wider and wider. Again, I had serious financial constraints and people standing in my way. One would say, I love your music or your ministry and I will invite you to my church, and then it doesn’t happen. Again, I just wanted to stop all this and lose hope. I’m sure many of you have experienced something like this and I want to encourage you with this Scripture that The Holy Ghost always reminds me of…

Jeremiah 20:9, it say, “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay."

I keep meeting people who speak of the business and contracts that I could work on, I keep meeting people who still want to hear what Jehovah has placed in me and I have found that I just can’t dodge these and others within me, so they are clearly not going anywhere.

Here it is…
What is in us cannot be brought to nought for as long as God placed it there. He knitted it into our being and no matter how much we want to give up and lay it down in the grave, it always comes back and pushes us to try again. It is like fire SHUT UP in our bones. So we best change the giving up mentality and walk in Victory!

The Pursuit Of Purpose 10.1

Good Afternoon Children of The Most High God!

I hope you are all fighting the good fight of Faith and aiming for the mark of the High Calling!

  • In the last post, we were dealing with the second step in The Purpose Formula – Desire. We spoke at length about the importance of writing down the vision, recording it one way or another, meditating on it and keeping it in front of us day and night.

The practical aspect here is that we need to continuously think of ways to get the job done, feeding the Desire to provide a solution to our frustrations. Talking about it to those that can advise, help or support us is also very important and having an attitude that won’t give up.

  • In this post I want to explore the challenges that we face when we want to go forward in this endeavour. We have an enemy that doesn’t want to see us succeed, especially in the Purpose God has set out for us, and thinking that we won’t be pushed to throwing in the towel is being naïve. Sadly, many times, that enemy is in the mirror rather than out there. Oh yes., we are our biggest hindrance, not the devil.

When we look around in our generation, we see many reason why what we want to achieve just won’t happen. I have come across many, many closed doors, and those that have been shut in my face, while trying to work out my matter. For years, and I mean years, I have been driving myself to get to where I want to go, keeping the Desire alive, yet there were times I just wanted to give up.
Wait, there were countless times that I actually did give up! It’s true, it became too much and I ended up submitting to the standards of the world, joining those who go with the flow and seeing no way out of my situation.

People not believing in my vision, others saying that they will walk with me and then never actually come along, even others starting the work with me but then fall away as time goes on. Have you ever felt like you are just not good enough or worthy to perform the task that is raging inside of you? How does Desire survive this turmoil?

Here is it...
When Frustration has grown into Desire, we will inevitably come across challenges and obstacles that have one mission, and that is to stop us from fulfilling our Desires, particularly when we are walking in the Will of God for our lives. Does this mean we let go and give in? Absolutely NOT!

The Pursuit Of Purpose 10

Dumelang Kaofela!

A wonderful afternoon to you all. I pray that you have a good self development plan set out this year and that you are getting to it already. As the year progresses, let's keep checking our progress and not assume that we have a lot of time on our hands...neh? Excellent...

Now, today we move on from the teaching on Frustration to Step 2 in 'The Purpose Formula', Desire.

Remember that our frustrations point us in the direction of where our purpose lies, and as you've read in past posts, these frustrations are too much to ignore or to do nothing about.

  • In TPOP 9.2, we learnt that the very first thing we should do is found in Habakkuk 2:2, writing the vision down, both for ourselves and those who may join in, in future.

You see, the things that will move you to write it down is Desire. our frustrations need to grow to the point where we want to actually deal with it, where we Desire to change the situation. If they aren't strong enough to push us to the Desire dimension, then we need to diagnose what the problem is. That however, we will do in a later post.

The Desire to deal with what frustrates us has to grow. We start this process by putting it down on paper, typing it into a laptop, tablet or smart phone, writing it down as an sms, etc. Whatever you have at your disposal to write it down, do it. Record a voice note on your phone if you have to and listen to it from time to time.

The greatest strength it will have is embedded in the word - Meditation. In Psalm 1:2 it says, "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." So clearly, meditation goes on day and night. The key though, is that we need to delight in this thing that we want to do, write down, and bring to pass.

Here it is...
Our frustrations need to get to a point where we Desire to do something about it. Ideas will inevitably come leading us to finding solutions and we are to write them down. We need to delight in what we want to do and Meditate on them day and night.

The Pursuit Of Purpose 9.2

Greetings Once Again In The Extraordinary Name Of The Risen Master - Jesus Christ!

Alright, now that the year 2015 has kicked off for us here on The Writings Of Gabriel, let's continue this incredible series.

Now in the closing days of 2014 we discussed the matter of Frustration in the 'Purpose Formula' and to a large extent, spoke of the kinds of frustrations that my friends and I experienced before and still do today.

  • I'm sure you have your own frustrations and they need not specifically refer to church matters. You could be frustrated with the way children are being treated at certain hospitals; you could be bothered by the lack of sufficient trees in a particular locality, or how some organizations focus more on Math and Science and not on other subjects at school.

Whichever one keeps nagging you and is pushing you into action, we need to put value on it and take steps to do something about it.

Now that we have identified our frustrations, we need to do what is stipulated in Habakkuk 2:2, "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."

We need to write it down and make it plain for ourselves to read, and to be able to cause others to read and understand it.

This seems like a simple task I must say, but trust me, it isn't as unimportant as it seems.

Here it is...
Writing the vision, idea, thought down causes you to get into the beginning stages of accountability for it.
Writing it down brings it to life more than leaving it in one's thoughts where it can be forgotten of delayed.
Writing it down puts it in front of one's face and putting it in front of our eyes makes it stronger.

This is the critical second step in 'The Purpose Formula' - Desire.

What do I mean?

Message For 2015

Hello Hello Hello Everybody!
I'm so glad you made it to 2015! Well it's been a hectic start to the year on my side and this is my first post this year. Therefore it's only fair that I give out The Message for 2015 as given to me and through me.

These three Scriptures combine to be the foundation thereof:

Amos 9:13
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt."

Ephesians 3:20-21
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."

James 1:22
"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

The year 2015 demands doers, not just hearers. It's time for action. Many misconstrue the verse in Matthew 4:4 which says, "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.", to specifically refer only to Him speaking about The Bible and things only pertaining to The Scripture.

Jehovah speaks as a Father and at times can simply tell us that we are driving too fast, or that we should stop for a chocolate, or even that we should put on a particular color shirt, one particular day.

He has given us so many ideas in 2014 and years before that, whether He did it through other people, a movie, a book, or through conversation; He has given us things that we can do to develop ourselves in every area. Like many, I have simply not followed through on them, neither have I been relentless in achieving them.

In 2015, may the Power that worketh in us (Eph 3:20) be that of jotting down our ideas, all of them, making the decision to start and finish, and leaving no stone unturned in succeeding; not for our Glory but for His.
May this year show that God meant it when He said that He will bless 'all' the work of our hands, opening His storehouse of blessing to pour down blessings that we don't have enough room to receive. May He show that the blessing can literally run ahead of our seed (Amos 9:13), yet actually putting the seed down and not leaving it only in the realm of verbalization (Jam 1:22).

Here it is...
Have the idea, write it down, DO the research, find a way, Pray that God will lead your way, GET IT DONE! No matter what it is, make sure it propels you in the direction of His Purpose for your life, gives Glory to God and develops you incessantly. Listen to Him when He speaks, you will not fall!

Stay Blessed; Be Mulitplied
