#OnTheTrain - Vision Development Part 8

La Familia!

I want you to know that you are precious in the Sight Of Jehovah Who created you, fearfully and wonderfully!

Alright, let's get on with it.

If you remember where we started with this part of the journey, in the series "From Start To Finish", we've been talking about where to start in terms of working out your purpose in life, and then living it out! If you want to take a quick peek from where we started, just track back in this series. We are now dealing with developing your vision.

Let's have a look at an example of something I wanted to achieve. I desired to write a book last year, and thought of the theme and the point thereof. I sort of worked out how it would go and what I intended the reader to get out of it.

This is me thinking up an idea, right? Now, the same mind that cooked up this idea, also comes up with other things that I want to do, from having a meal, to something I want to do at work, to finding other ways of making my life better than what it is now, etc. This means, that I am continuously bombarded with thoughts. It is therefore, that easy to forget about writing that book of mine.

(By the way, it can now be found on Amazon [
https://cutt.ly/DistractionBook])

Once I made that decision to write down my idea, and then put a plan in place, I finally began authoring the book. You see, "If a vision is without an executable plan, it is inherently doomed!"

So, I told myself that I would be done with this book in a period of four months. The book is quite small and is part of a series. So I knew that I wouldn't have too many chapters in it.

The next thing was to throw the net of time. This means that in order to reach my goal within the allotted four months, I had to break it down into months. So I aimed to be done with at least 10 to 20 pages of the book every month. To do this, I had to get past about 4 or 5 pages every week. For that to happen, I had to pen down about 1 or 2 pages a day.

So I broke it down to such an extent that I knew that if I didn't complete my first 5 pages within my first week, I was already in trouble in reaching my four month limit. This is the crux of vision development.

That net of time I referred to earlier, should come from good research about the 'do-ability' of your plan. It has to be realistic, but have the element of putting some pressure on you, as well. That balance is VERY IMPORTANT!

Think about the things you wanted to do, but never got to. Are they written down somewhere, where you can see it/them? Have you taken the time to workout what it would take to reach this goal in the time that you've given yourself? Perhaps there's a missing element to all thisπŸ€”

You might suffering from something I call, 'Kennafela Syndrome', which can cause you many years of delay and a horrible amount of frustration in your endeavors.
Wanna know what this syndrome entails?

Lumelang Kaofela, Ba Ratuwa Ba Jehovah!

To God Be The Glory For You, as His Grace continues to hold you up strong.

Let's see what it is that we learn from the story of Ketlametswe and Shadrach.

We pick up from where we left off...

Let me see if I get the point of all this. So we learn here that pressure can come from anywhere, to accomplish something. Be it family, friends, or even the status quo, we may be steered to achieving something, for the purpose of being accepted or recognized by others.

Second, we learn that there is a difference between what you love, and what you feel you have to do. I once read a statement that said, "If you can't do what you love, love what you do"

Now, that statement is pretty loaded. However, let me say this, "What God Placed Within You, Your Hands Can Produce And Prosper You"

Every one of us has talents and gifts that we were designed with by The Almighty. Regardless of where you come from, there are instances in our lives where those things are hinted to us. Oftentimes they are told to us by other people who see it in us.

If you go through my entire blog, you will find that the acquisition of said gifts and talents, and the bringing out thereof, is all that it's about. I am committed to helping as many people as possible to find their purpose and live it out, for the Glory of The Creator. So if this does interest you, go back in my posts and read how you can identify, cultivate and succeed with your Purpose.

Back to this post. Developing ones Vision is embedded in knowing which direction ones wants to take. You see, Shadrach wanted to study civil engineering, mostly because he wanted to make his mother proud, but also that he came from a technical school, and that is where he would likely succeed.

Yet, until he could pen down a proper plan, he would be stuck in, what I call, a 'Non-Application Mud Pit' or NAMP. What this means is that you have in your head, all the things that you want to, and can do, but never right it down and execute them. So then there is no accountability for them and you end up never really doing anything.

In his conversation with Bra Thibos, something clicks in his mind, that allowed him to finally write his plans down. This allowed him a better view of them, and thereby giving him the ability to work with his ideas.

Let's dig a little deeper, on the next post!

My Beloved Family! Blessed art thou, who loveth The Lord, Who Reigns on High!

I pray that you are growing in stature and wisdom, as 2019 continues to surrender her strength.

Without further ado, let's close this young lady's story about her man, with whom she reunited.

Ketlametswe, "You should have seen the look in his eyes, Gabe, I| saw a fire in them, like he was born again. As he spoke to me, I felt this well of love rise within me, because he had turned into the man I had hoped to have years ago. He told me that he sat back in his chair for a few minutes, as he took multiple sips of his passion fruit and lemonade beverage, which had ordered at some point.

He said, 'You know my queen, when that time of silence took over, which he allowed, because he said nothing to me until I spoke neh, I thought about all those times that I had come up with ideas on what the Djs could do better and how to modify whats on the table etc, and it was incredible! He made me dig deeper within, and made me see that I was more loaded than I had given myself credit for.

I took out my phone and started typing on my notepad.'

I asked him, 'What did you type?'

He took out his phone and showed me the plans and strategies that he put together in his mind, but had never gotten them down to where he could see them.

Moruti, he went on to explain how, in a matter of 15 minutes, he knew what he was going to do. The crux of the matter is that, he made the decision that he was going to study civil engineering, for the education, not the career, inspired by Dr Tumi, whom he loves. He wanted both, and so he put in motion, a way to do just that.

I love him so much hle abuti!"

Gabriel, "I am in absolute awe. Jehovah works in incredible ways indeed. Well then, I want to ask about how you guys got the romance thing going again, but I feel like that is a conversation for another day. I'm so proud of you though, there is a lot you have learned here.
Let me see if I get the point of all this. So we learn here that..."

#OnTheTrain - Vision Development Part 5

NDAA to you my lovely family!

I hope you are all doing ever so well as 2019 seeks to take a bow from her work.πŸ˜ͺ

I pray that you have found some productivity in all the lessons πŸ“ that she brought with her, for the last 11 months.

😎Progression in the right direction, is the key to gradual fulfillment.😎

πŸŽ‰2020 beckons and we need to build on from here...

Having said that, we are still learning a thing or two about Vision Development from the narration of Ketlametswe, of Shadrach's journey.

Shall we...

Ketlametswe, "So he tells me about Thibos, 'Bra Thibos took me out for lunch one Saturday afternoon, at Kream of The Crop, there at Mall of Africa, which blew me away! I mean I had never been in such a beautiful place to eat, and he said to me, 'Tell me about yourself'.

That question was so difficult to answer because after all these years, I was only trying to figure myself out, and so much about me is still a mystery. I mean, so many things I had tried, believed in, and failed at so much, that telling anyone about myself, was tantamount to 'trial and error'.

I hesitated in replying to his question and he smiled at me. Then I tried and said, 'I am a man who loves music and wants to study civil engineering to be like you one day, and be able to take people out to places like this and...', he stopped me right there.

He said, 'You don't need to tell me anything else now. You said you love music and you want to study what I studied for money purposes. Shadrach, I have watched you working in the clubs and the way you stare at the Djs when they do their thing. Moreover, I was there when Dj Priest gave you a shot at the decks because he wasn't feeling well, and you flowed.

Listen, vision follows focus my brother, and development follows vision. I studied civil and worked for a few years in the field, and I did good. But if you really want to know where my success really lies... it's in my books. I am an author and the people who read my books tell me how they have helped them in their lives. That is fulfilling and that is what is making me more money than this job which I eventually left.

Look, don't waste years like I did, trying to follow a career, when deep down, I am an entrepreneur. When you do music, your creativity is boundless, and you come up with more and more innovative ideas, right? I saw it in your eyes and heard it in your choice of songs. It was like you were telling a story. When you write those ideas down, plan and execute them, that develops your vision and you cannot be stopped!'

I looked at him in awe and after thinking for a while, I finally replied to his question and I said...

Ketlametswe concludes Shadrachs story on the next installment.
