A wonderful afternoon to you all. I pray that you have a good self development plan set out this year and that you are getting to it already. As the year progresses, let's keep checking our progress and not assume that we have a lot of time on our hands...neh? Excellent...
Now, today we move on from the teaching on Frustration to Step 2 in 'The Purpose Formula', Desire.
Remember that our frustrations point us in the direction of where our purpose lies, and as you've read in past posts, these frustrations are too much to ignore or to do nothing about.
- In TPOP 9.2, we learnt that the very first thing we should do is found in Habakkuk 2:2, writing the vision down, both for ourselves and those who may join in, in future.
You see, the things that will move you to write it down is Desire. our frustrations need to grow to the point where we want to actually deal with it, where we Desire to change the situation. If they aren't strong enough to push us to the Desire dimension, then we need to diagnose what the problem is. That however, we will do in a later post.
The Desire to deal with what frustrates us has to grow. We start this process by putting it down on paper, typing it into a laptop, tablet or smart phone, writing it down as an sms, etc. Whatever you have at your disposal to write it down, do it. Record a voice note on your phone if you have to and listen to it from time to time.
The greatest strength it will have is embedded in the word - Meditation. In Psalm 1:2 it says, "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." So clearly, meditation goes on day and night. The key though, is that we need to delight in this thing that we want to do, write down, and bring to pass.
Here it is...
Our frustrations need to get to a point where we Desire to do something about it. Ideas will inevitably come leading us to finding solutions and we are to write them down. We need to delight in what we want to do and Meditate on them day and night.
On the next post...
