I hope you are doing well in the Hands of The Almighty God!
I must tell you that learning a statement from Dr. John C.
Maxwell which says, ‘Success is not a destination, it’s a journey.’ All I want
to say to you here is that waking up every day and going to sleep having
achieved something, should be the goal. No need to do everything at once, but
do something daily en-route to the main objective.
Right, let’s do this.
Shall we take a deeper look into the dimension of Seeking. Let’s consider the story of Themba.
He received a birthday present from his
girlfriend of six months, Teboho, a tailor made key ring. He went to
Checkers Hyper in Menlyn Mall, East of Pretoria on a busy 25th of
May last year.
Since he hung it around his waist and pushed against
many a customer, by the time he reached the till, he realized that the gift
wasn’t there anymore.
Once he paid for his goods, he went and parked his trolley
inside a smaller shop that sells cellphones and does cellphone repairs, asking
the gentleman to watch it for him. He went and retraced his steps as much as he
could remember, looking for the key ring. Unable to see it anywhere, he proceeded to
look elsewhere all over the shop for about 20 minutes.
Unsuccessful, he prepared himself for the worst at the
verbal hands of his woman and left the store.
A Picture has been placed in front of us here. We see that
Themba knew that it was a valuable thing that he had in his possession and when
he saw it missing, he took time to go and look for it all through the retail
outlet.
He placed a certain value on the item and showed this by trying to get it back into his hands.
Is this how we should look at dealing with our Frustrations via Desire Avenue? [To Be Continued…]
Here it is…
The value that we place on what has been entrusted to us
shows in our reaction to losing it or realizing it not being there or active
any longer. The greater the value placed on it, the greater the need to
retrieve it.
